Overview As aPhysiology Assistant/Associate/Professor in a medical college youwill play a vital role in educating future physicians conductingresearch and contributing to the academic and clinical developmentof the institution. Your expertise in physiology will be essentialin shaping the curriculum and providing students with a strongfoundation in understanding the human bodysfunctions.Keyresponsibilities
  • Develop and deliverlectures and laboratory sessions on various aspects of physiologyto medical students.
  • Conduct research in thefield of physiology publish findings in academic journals and seekgrant funding.
  • Mentor and advise medicalstudents residents and fellows in their research projects andcareer development.
  • Participate in curriculumdevelopment assessment and accreditationactivities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues oninterdisciplinary research projects and provide expertise inphysiology for clinical studies.
  • Participate indepartmental and institutional committees and contribute to theacademic community through serviceactivities.
  • Stay updated on advancements in thefield of physiology and incorporate new knowledge into teaching andresearch.
  • Contribute to the organization ofacademic conferences seminars and workshops related tophysiology.
  • Provide guidance and leadership inthe use of innovative teaching methods andtechnologies.
  • Participate in facultydevelopment activities and pursue professional growthopportunities.
Requiredqualifications
  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D.M.D. or equivalent) in Physiology or a relatedfield.
  • Proven experience in teaching physiologyto medical students at the undergraduate or graduatelevel.
  • Demonstrated record of researchproductivity including publications and successful grantapplications.
  • Experience in mentoring studentsand junior faculty in research and academicpursuits.
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills for effective interaction with studentscolleagues and other healthcareprofessionals.
  • Board certification inPhysiology or related discipline (ifapplicable).
  • Knowledge of current trends andadvancements in medical education and physiologyresearch.
  • Ability to work effectively in acollaborative and diverse academicenvironment.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills for handling multipleresponsibilities.
  • Commitment to upholdingethical standards in teaching research and academicgovernance.
