Role Description

Black Cherie Media is seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer/Art Director with a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in graphic design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. The role requires a strong ability to conceptualize and execute designs across various fields including branding, social media, and print marketing, with a basic understanding of web design.



Key Responsibilities:


Conceptualization and Design

  • Develop innovative and creative concepts for branding, social media, and print marketing campaigns.
  • Translate client briefs into visually appealing and effective designs.
  • Maintain a consistent brand identity across all design projects.


Branding

  • Create and develop brand identities including logos, color schemes, typography, and overall visual style.
  • Ensure all branding materials are cohesive and align with the brand's voice and messaging.


Social Media Design

  • Design eye-catching graphics for various social media platforms.
  • Stay updated with the latest design trends and apply them to social media content.
  • Work closely with the social media team to ensure designs meet platform-specific requirements.


Print Marketing Design

  • Design marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, and advertisements.
  • Prepare print-ready files and liaise with printers to ensure high-quality print production.
  • Understand and apply different print techniques and materials.


Web Design (Basic Understanding)

  • Assist in the creation of web graphics, banners, and other visual elements for websites.
  • Collaborate with web developers to ensure designs are accurately implemented online.
  • Ensure web designs are user-friendly and visually appealing.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of professional experience in graphic design.


Technical Skills: 

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Conceptual Skills: Strong ability to conceptualize and develop creative ideas.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.


Preferred Skills

  • Basic knowledge of web design principles and experience with web design tools.
  • Understanding of video editing and motion graphics is a plus.
  • Knowledge of current design trends and ability to adapt to new design techniques.
