JOB DESCRIPTION
• Completes all aspects of leukemia-lymphoma immune pheno typing, MRD panels (Blood/ Bone marrow) including sample preparation, staining, acquisition, and data analysis using established protocols
• Demonstrates knowledge and application of theory and clinical relevance of Flow Cytometry with the ability to identify abnormal cell populations, understands general immune pheno typic results, and knows how to proceed in variant situations
• Recognize and take appropriate action in response to critical or unexpected results and communicate effectively with Pathologists
• Assists with the development, optimization, and validation of new tests as requested by the Flow Supervisor
• Performs all duties at a high level of competency and actively participates in problem solving using advanced level of decision-making skills
• Demonstrates knowledge and application of computer systems used in Flow Cytometry analysis
• Determines the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established guidelines
• Accurately performs cell counts and make dilutions to ensure optimal staining
• Prepares reagent stock, antibody cocktails, and working solutions
• Monitors proper use and consumption of reagents, materials and consumables
• Assists in cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment
• Prepares stains on peripheral blood smears, bone marrow aspirates (Wright Stain, iron, enzyme cyto chemistry) as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• MD/ DNB Pathology trained & routinely reporting on Leukemia/ Lymphoma/ MRD panels (Blood/ Bone marrow)
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and a team-oriented mindset
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
