About the Role
We are looking for a driven and target-oriented Sales Manager to lead and expand our education software sales in the assigned region. This role involves on-field client acquisition, relationship management, and end-to-end sales ownership, ensuring our solutions reach schools, colleges, coaching centers, and training institutes.
You will manage a field sales team, plan regional sales activities, conduct client meetings, and drive revenue growth while collaborating with cross-functional teams (telesales, demo, marketing, and after-sales).
Key Responsibilities
On-Field Sales & Client Engagement
- Identify and acquire new clients in the education sector through visits, networking, and local market mapping.
- Conduct product demos and presentations on-site for school decision-makers, principals, and management teams.
- Negotiate pricing, prepare proposals, and close deals on the ground.
- Maintain strong post-sale relationships to encourage renewals and referrals.
Team Management & Supervision
- Lead and mentor a team of field sales executives to meet regional targets.
- Coordinate with telesales/lead generation teams to ensure high-quality appointments.
- Track daily activities, visit reports, and conversion performance of the team.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with demo teams to schedule and deliver effective product demonstrations.
- Work with digital marketing and email marketing teams to support campaigns in your region.
- Liaise with the after-sales/customer success team to ensure smooth onboarding and client satisfaction.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Analyze regional market trends and competitors' activities to identify new opportunities.
- Share market feedback with the product and marketing teams for continuous improvement.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly sales reports to management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Field Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager, or similar
- Strong background in on-field B2B sales, client acquisition, and negotiations.
- Ability to manage a team and deliver consistent results under deadlines.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
