Position Summary
As a Web Developer at CIR, you will work closely with development and engineering teams to build and refine web-based tools that facilitate the optimization of solar energy projects. You will enhance front-end interfaces, integrate back-end services, and ensure efficient application deployment on AWS, digital ocean and similar platforms. This position offers valuable experience in modern web technologies and geospatial data integration in renewable energy contexts.
Core Responsibilities
- Front-end Development:
- Develop web applications using React, flask.
- Implement responsive design to ensure user-friendly interfaces.
- Utilize mapping libraries (e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox) to display geospatial data.
- Back-end Integration:
- Work with APIs and manage data flow for project analytics and management.
- Enhance features for robust data handling and real-time project analysis.
- Cloud Deployment:
- Deploy and manage web applications on AWS and similar platforms.
- Optimize for performance, scalability, and storage efficiency.
- GIS and Mapping Tools:
- Develop tools using GIS data like KML and Shapefiles.
- Integrate geospatial visualization into project interfaces.
- Containerization and Orchestration:
- Utilize Docker for application containerization.
- Manage deployments using Kubernetes.
Education Requirements
Bachelors/Master’s in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills and Experience
Software Proficiency:
- Proficiency in React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python.
- Strong understanding of web development frameworks.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of AWS and cloud deployment techniques.
Renewable Energy Systems:
- Enthusiasm for new technologies and continuous learning.
Experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in web development.
