The Area Portfolio Manager (APM) will be responsible for managing the portfolio of secured business loans and loans against property (LAP). The role involves ensuring portfolio quality, driving profitability, mitigating risks, and delivering exceptional service to clients while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities


1. Portfolio Management

• Manage the assigned portfolio of secured business loans and LAP accounts.

• Monitor portfolio performance, including loan utilization, repayments, and overall health.

• Ensure timely follow-ups for EMI payments to reduce delinquencies and NPAs.

2. Risk Management

• Assess and mitigate risks by analyzing financial, market, and customer behavior data.

• Conduct periodic reviews of high-value and high-risk accounts.

• Coordinate with the risk and credit teams to maintain portfolio quality.

3. Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

• Address and resolve client issues promptly and effectively.

4. Business Development

• Support the sales team in onboarding high-quality customers and ensuring their seamless transition into the portfolio.

• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to grow the business within the portfolio.

5. Compliance and Documentation

• Ensure adherence to regulatory and company policies in all operations.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes. 6. Team Collaboration

• Work closely with credit, operations, and legal teams to ensure smooth disbursement and management of loans.

• Provide feedback and insights to teams for process improvement and better customer service.


Qualifications and Skills


1. Educational Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

• MBA/PGDM in Finance or equivalent qualification (preferred).

2. Experience:

• 5-7 years of experience in portfolio management of secured loans or LAP in NBFCs/Banks.

• Strong understanding of secured lending products, credit policies, and loan lifecycle management.

3. Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in financial analysis and risk assessment.

• Knowledge of lending tools and software.

4. Behavioral Skills:

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
