About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and creative Product Designer to join our team. As a Product Designer at Wollybee , you will play a key role in shaping the future of our products. You will be responsible for designing and developing new games and activities that are both fun and educational.

Responsibilities:

  • Game & Activity Design: Conceptualize and design new educational games and activities, considering age appropriateness, learning objectives, and engagement. Create prototypes and iterate on designs based on user feedback.
    • Material Research: Conduct thorough research on safe, durable, and age-appropriate materials for product development. This includes evaluating material properties, sourcing sustainable options, and staying informed about industry regulations and best practices.
      • User & Market Research: Conduct research to understand children's needs, preferences, and play patterns. This involves observing children playing, conducting interviews, or analyzing data to inform design decisions.
        • Prototyping & Iteration: Create prototypes of games and activities, which could be physical or digital, to test and refine designs.
          • Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including educators to ensure educational value, artists for visual appeal, and developers for implementation.
            • Quality Assurance: Help ensure that products meet quality and safety standards for children.
              • Market Awareness: Stay up-to-date on trends in the edutainment industry, including new technologies, game mechanics, and educational approaches.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in product design, education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in product design, preferably in the edutainment industry.
  • Strong understanding of child development and learning principles.
  • Excellent design skills and a passion for creating engaging experiences for children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
