Job Description:

Experience in Cognos 11 BI Administration.Administering, configuring, tuning, and maintaining Cognos BI 11.xx in non-prod and Production environments.Advanced skills using Cognos Report Studio, Query Studio, Active Reports, and Business Insight Advanced.Expert-level knowledge of Cognos SQL, Cognos SDK and triggers.Expertise in the preparation of the architecture and design of data integration strategies and the implementation of data stores.Managing the architecture, capacity, security, and system performance optimization (both Cognos and Windows), making technical recommendations as neededResearching, assessing, and implementing Cognos best practicesMonitoring server resource utilization and administering servers to maintain system efficiencyUtilizing third-party tools to support administration and monitoring of system resourcesAdministering a large number of schedules and events to ensure best performanceCreating and maintaining Cognos user roles/permissions, working closely with the Active Directory TeamAnalyzing Cognos and other server/system logs daily basis to identify and proactively resolve those issues.Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and proprietary databases including OLAP cubes.Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills.Experience training end users or technical support staff to use programs.
