Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QA Manual Tester for a 6-months temporary contract role based in Chennai. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications through effective manual testing practices. This role is ideal for someone looking for a short-term opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze requirements, prepare test cases, and execute manual test scenarios.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues in a structured manner.
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Report and communicate test results, progress, and quality metrics clearly.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies like daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in manual QA testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with test case management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Waterfall).
  • Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and backend testing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience testing web and mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
