Job Title : Java Lead with API Development (AWS - Good to Have) Experience : 7 to 11 years Location : Chennai (Work from Office) Immediate Joiners Preferred Job Description : We are looking for an experienced Java Lead with a strong background in API Development to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of high-performance, scalable API solutions. This role requires extensive experience in Java development, API design, and cloud technologies, with AWS being a good-to-have. Key Responsibilities : - Lead the development and delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure Java-based applications and APIs. - Design and develop RESTful APIs to support integrations with internal and external systems. - Work closely with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Ensure the quality of code and adherence to best practices through code reviews and testing. - Optimize API performance and handle issues related to scaling and high availability. - Take ownership of the end-to-end API lifecycle, from design to production deployment and monitoring. - Mentor and guide junior team members, providing leadership and technical expertise. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration with other services. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. - Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the team's technical capabilities. Required Skills & Experience : - 7 to 11 years of experience in Java development with expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs. - Strong hands-on experience with Java frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, etc.). - Experience with API development tools and methodologies (e.g., Swagger, Postman). - Proficient in object-oriented design, multithreading, and concurrency. - Familiarity with cloud technologies, with a preference for AWS (though AWS is a good-to-have). - Strong understanding of version control systems (Git) and build tools (Maven, Gradle). - Experience in Agile methodologies and working in a collaborative team environment. - Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges. - Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders to understand business needs. Preferred Skills : - Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, etc.) is a plus. - Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI). - Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and ORM frameworks like Hibernate. Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. (ref:hirist.tech)
