Summary


The Placements & Industry Collaboration Manager will spearhead the university's efforts to build and nurture strong corporate relationships, ensuring successful student placements and industry engagement. This role requires strategic planning, business development, and operational execution to create robust networks with organizations across various industries.


The successful candidate will play a crucial role in securing internship and placement opportunities for our client university’s students while also developing and implementing training programs to enhance their employability skills. Responsibilities:


Corporate Partnership Development:

  • Identify, approach, and establish partnerships with top organizations for student placements and internships.
  • Maintain and enhance long-term relationships with corporate stakeholders.
  • Negotiate terms for campus recruitment partnerships and internships.


Placement Strategy:

  • Develop and execute an annual placement strategy aligned with industry trends and university goals.
  • Facilitate pre-placement activities such as resume reviews, interview preparation sessions, and mock interviews.

Industry Collaboration:

  • Organize industry-academia interface events such as seminars, guest lectures, panel discussions, and networking sessions.
  • Collaborate with faculty and leadership to align academic programs with industry needs.

Placement Operations:

  • Manage end-to-end placement drives, including coordinating with recruiters, scheduling interviews, and collecting feedback.
  • Ensure smooth communication between students and recruiting organizations.

Market Analysis & Reporting:

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging industry trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports on placement statistics, employer feedback, and industry insights for internal stakeholders.

Team Management:

  • Lead a team responsible for corporate relations and placement coordination.
  • Provide mentorship and training to the team to enhance their effectiveness in industry collaboration.


Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in corporate relations, business development, or placements, preferably in an academic environment.
  • Strong network within various industries and a proven track record of developing corporate partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and align placement strategies accordingly.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and placement management systems.
