GreenVayu Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship aims to bring thought leadership in fueling start-ups ecosystem across India using a combination of training, coaching, funding and incubation. Our practical and comprehensive approach accelerates innovation and sustainability.

THE ROLE:

Location: Remote, anywhere in India

Duration: 3-month Internship (with possibility of conversion to longer term contract)

Stipend Range: 10-22 K Per month depending on experience and performance in the role

The role focuses on designing, developing and delivering videos for digital training materials for various audiences. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of video editing best practices, novel ideas, trends, audience demographics, and effective communication strategies

THE CANDIDATE:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Lead Video Editor to join our dynamic team as Intern (with possibility of extension to full-time role). The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design and a strong understanding of video editing, digital content creation, user experience principles to create intuitive and engaging interfaces.

We are offering internships to extremely energetic, sincere, honest and committed individuals who bring experimentation and continuous improvement mindset

You will help to design, create and implement the best-in-class training, promotional and informational videos and webinars for the company. Overall, the role of is dynamic and ALSO involves contributing to the Innovation and Design process from idea generation to implementation while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is both a self-motivated individual and a positive team player. The ideal candidate could also help to expand the company's social media presence by helping create digital content including videos and voiceovers. The candidate should be creative, tech-savvy, and capable of developing and executing training, promo and digital media campaigns.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A video editor plays a crucial role in the production process, responsible for shaping raw footage into a polished final product. Their roles and responsibilities typically include:

1. **Reviewing and Organizing Footage**:

  - Reviewing raw footage and organizing it into a coherent sequence.

  - Selecting the best takes, shots, and clips for the final edit.

2. **Editing Footage**:

  - Cutting and trimming video segments to specified lengths.

  - Rearranging footage to create a logical flow and narrative.

  - Adding transitions, titles, and special effects.

3. **Audio Editing**:

  - Syncing audio with video.

  - Enhancing audio quality and adding sound effects, music, or voiceovers.

4. **Color Correction and Grading**:

  - Adjusting color and lighting to ensure consistency and enhance visual appeal.

  - Applying color grading to achieve the desired mood and tone.

5. **Collaborating with Content developers and Storytellers**:

  - Working closely with directors, producers, and other team members to understand their vision and make necessary edits.

  - Incorporating feedback and making revisions as needed.

6. **Using Editing Software**:

  - Proficient use of video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.

  - Staying updated with new software features and techniques.

7. **Creating Visual Effects and Graphics**:

  - Integrating motion graphics, animations, and visual effects into the video.

  - Ensuring seamless integration of effects with the footage.

8. **Maintaining Project Files**:

  - Organizing and archiving project files and assets for easy access and future use.

  - Ensuring backups are created to prevent data loss.

   - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve editing practices.

9. **Adhering to Deadlines**:

  - Managing time efficiently to meet project deadlines.

  - Communicating progress and any potential delays to the team.

10. **Ensuring Compliance**:

   - Ensuring the final product complies with technical specifications and standards.

   - Following copyright and licensing laws for music, footage, and images used in the project.

11. **Design**

  - Design and deliver user-centered videos for various platforms (web, mobile, etc.).

12. **Learning and Development**

   - Engaging in learning opportunities to develop other team members skills video editing, social media and other relevant areas

Overall, a video editor combines technical skills with creativity to bring stories to life through visual media, making them an essential part of the production team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.    Bachelor's degree/ diploma in Management, Education, Instructional Design, Multimedia Design, Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, Arts, Science or a related field.

A degree in film production, multimedia, digital media, communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.

2.    Excellent editing and visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.

3.    Relevant certifications in video editing or production software can be beneficial.

4. **Technical Skills**:

  - Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.

  - Knowledge of motion graphics and animation software like Adobe After Effects.

  - Understanding of camera equipment, lighting, and sound recording.

5. **Creative Skills**:

  - Strong storytelling ability to create engaging and coherent narratives.

  - A good eye for detail, color, composition, and visual aesthetics.

  - Ability to generate creative ideas and concepts for video content.

6 **Experience**:

  - Demonstrable experience in video production, either through previous jobs, internships, or freelance work.

  - A portfolio showcasing a range of video projects, demonstrating skills in editing, production, and creative direction

  - Experience in digital content creation, instructional design, and e-learning development.

  - Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
