Hiring for a Logistics Lead, for one of the specialized aerospace parts manufacturers.

Operating from dedicated warehouses in Gummidipoondi, Chennai and Andhra Pradesh, they are certified with AS9100 Rev D and AS9120 Rev B Quality systems. Role details:

Title / Designation : Logistics Lead Reporting to : Vice President Location: Sricity

Role & responsibilities:

Ensure strict adherence to SEZ regulations, policies, and procedures in all logistics activities. Manage and facilitate customs clearance processes for inbound and outbound shipments within the SEZ. Implement efficient inventory management practices to minimize holding costs and ensure optimal stock levels. Coordinate transportation activities, including route planning, carrier selection, and shipment tracking, to ensure timely delivery of goods. Supervise warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch, to maintain efficient logistics workflows. Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers and vendors to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness. Identify potential risks in logistics operations and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard against disruptions. Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate documentation related to logistics operations, including invoices, shipping documents, and compliance records. Continuously assess logistics processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline operations. Provide leadership and guidance to the logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Candidate requirements:

5-8 years of experience in logistics operations, with a focus on SEZ compliance and management. In-depth knowledge of SEZ regulations, customs procedures, and international trade laws. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations. Proficiency in logistics software and tools, such as ERP systems and transportation management systems (TMS). Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
