We are looking for a Purchasing associate to join our team and enrich our Purchasing Organization with Purchasing expertise & Commodity Cost Analysis knowledge, Analysis tools understanding, Strategic Mind and Creativity, and divergent thinking. Talented associate to work in Global Purchasing Support Groups with an ability to influence internal & external stakeholders with Prompt and Proactive Support on Purchasing projects keeping commitments on the SLAs, TATs and deadlines.
Role and Responsibility:
1. Monitor and analyze market trends for all contracted commodities (e.g., resin, ferrous & non-ferrous metals, polypropylene, etc.), collaborating with suppliers to obtain updated pricing for upcoming periods in accordance with contract terms.
2. Obtain offers for newly added items and accurately update the pricing mechanism.
3. Efficiently manage contracted commodities and foreign exchange updates in the system, ensuring update in SAP by coordinating with relevant teams. Track and report variances to the leadership team.
4. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes within the pricing mechanism, leveraging technologies such as Power Automate, Power Apps, VBA programming, Macro programming, etc., to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
5. Collaborate with the Sourcing Leader regularly to identify relevant categories for project expansion. Explore opportunities to replicate a similar model for non-contracted commodities.
6. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement operations, utilizing SAP and other tools to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
7. Preparing RFQ documents including specifications and terms & conditions, identify potential suppliers, manages the receipt of RFQ responses from suppliers, ensuring that responses are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
8. Evaluate RFQ responses, conduct quantitative analysis, comparing bids, and assessing the overall value proposition offered by each supplier. Negotiate with suppliers based on Approved Authority Guidelines.
9. Develop and maintain detailed SOPs for procurement processes to streamline operations, ensure consistency, and capture procedural details effectively for reference and training purposes.
10. Establish and monitor SLAs to measure the effectiveness of sourcing activities. Regularly report performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement to management and stakeholders.
11. Develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with stakeholders, including understanding internal customer requirements, forecasting growth opportunities, preparing roadmaps, and building capabilities for future readiness.
12. Actively participate in global Purchasing Support enhancement projects to drive continuous improvement and efficiency in procurement operations.
Experience requirement: (Must Have)
1. 03 to 07 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the service delivery industry.
2. Strong proficiency in Excel.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Knowledge of Process Automation apps such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Visual Basic programming , Python programming etc.
5. Hands-on process automation projects.
6. Proficiency in the Mandarin (Chinese) language is preferred.
Educational Qualification requirement:
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (any stream)
Organizational Relationships:
1. Reports to AM – Purchasing
2. Regular interactions with Global Purchasing Organization Stakeholders and Suppliers.
