Lead Solution Architect The Solution Architect you are a technical visionary responsible for translating business objectives into conceptual and practical solutions that will be the foundation for our future product roadmap. You are an expert within the e-commerce ecosystem with a profound knowledges of technology developments, the solution vendors and e-commerce business objectives in general. Together with the Lead products owner and the Portfolio Manager you are giving direction to the various development teams within e-commerce. Those include our Webshops front and back end, PIM, CRM, Marketing, BI and the integration between those. You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer. Job description . Required 8 to 12 years of total experience. At least 6-8 years of relevant experience in E commerce. · Design the Solution architecture for the foreseeable future (2 to 4 years) which fits vidaXL as organization and its strategic goals. · Define strategical choice between buying and own build, and make tradeoffs between requirement, quality, stability, and implementation cost & speed. · "Own" the complete e-commerce landscape (Pricing & BI, product content, channel integration, webshops (running on Salesforce CC) and customer service. · Lead the design and development of the e-commerce platform, ensuring that it is scalable, secure, and performant. · Work closely with the development teams to ensure that the various platforms within the domain are being built using best practices and adhere to (enterprise) architectural principles. · Collaborate with Lead Product Owner and other stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements. · Asses current vendors against our future roadmap and initiate changes if needed. · Drive technical, architectural, and functional discussions, challenging and guiding both business and developers to build solutions that fir our needs and achieve our long terms business objective. · Surveil development efforts and provide technical direction to the team based on stakeholder requirements. · Define system integration architectures and work with partner system integrators and design patterns, approaches, and guidelines, adhering to compliance standards. · Stay abreast with new technologies and share new ideas and techniques that are relevant to the e-commerce space. · Create an approachable environment for the team members to ask questions and escalate issues; define milestone commitments and mentor junior team members. · Support the team in planning data migration and system go-live activities addressing technical issues and challenges. · Determine software solutions and perform POCs as needed. · Perform code review. · Implement load testing standards to troubleshoot performance problems. · Design and develop frameworks, tools, and accelerators that enhance the ability of technology team members and organization. · Contribute to new business opportunities by participating in pre-sales - providing solutions, driving technical discussions with internal stakeholders. · Integrate third-party systems, like CRM, OMS, or ERP data in e-commerce platforms using middleware, native APIs, or API gateways. · Fix performance, scalability, and other issues in a very time-critical environment. Skills and Experience · 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect. · 8+ years of experience in developing e-commerce solutions and applications. · 6+ years of experience in any commercial e-commerce tool like SFCC, Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce, etc. ·Architect certification in any e-commerce tool is desirable. ·Start up company experience is a plus. · Proven hands-on implementation experience in large, complex, multi-domain, and multisite e-commerce projects. · Experience with the Salesforce commerce cloud, Salesforce Service cloud, Salesforce Marketing cloud, Mulesoft, Zendesk, Winshutte CMS, RabitMQ ESB. · Good knowledge of UI technologies and omnichannel e-commerce platforms. · Strong knowledge of e-commerce functionalities like product and catalog management, pricing, promotions, loyalty, inventory management, order fulfillment, warranties, return management, payments, supply chain, etc. · Sound knowledge of cloud infrastructure in a popular platform, like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business problems and architect innovative and practical solutions. Team Player: A collaborative attitude with a willingness to mentor and support other team members. Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing · Expertise in application lifecycle methodologies (like agile project and engineering processes, MVP). · Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD implementation. · Comfortable in conducting workshops. · Hands-on experience in agile development methodology. · A self-starter and quick learner with an ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment. · Proactive, strong, and improvement-focused problem-solving skills. · Visionary with a helicopter view.
