Responsibilities:
- Act as point of contact for client questions related to video, lighting, audio, and general event needs
- Ability to act as a site lead if needed
- Work closely with event planners and producers to ensure that the technical setup meets the requirements and objectives of each event.
- Process and test new equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Set up, operate, breakdown, and maintain technical equipment for live events
- Be responsible for onsite coordination and oversight of all technical aspects of the production.
- Manage the team of technicians and engineers for live and virtual events
- Configure equipment and racks to ensure ease of setup and operation on-site
- Scan in/out orders to the company's inventory tracking system as needed
- Evaluate equipment that needs repair and assist with repairs as necessary
- Collaborate with other team members for successful events
- Quickly work to resolve technical issues as they arise
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Video experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of video, audio, and lighting terminology and operation of equipment
- Knowledge of computer networking and signal flow
- Working knowledge of standard broadcast equipment
- Advanced computer literacy in graphic design. Skills in Adobe Suite - Photoshop, Premier, and After Effect preferred
- Understanding of current best practices and programs for virtual events
- Understanding of IP networks (Internet, Intranet, VPN, Dante, NDI, etc…)
- Proficiency in at least one Computer Aided Design program (Vectorworks preferred)
- Ability to cultivate and maintain professional relationships with clients
- Ability to learn and stay current with the newest AVL Technologies
- Working knowledge of LED walls and signal processing
- Working knowledge of video resolutions, chroma subsampling, and frame rates
- Working knowledge of lighting design.
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
- Well-rounded knowledge and skills in all areas of production preferred
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a time-sensitive production environment
- Consistent “can do” attitude
- A team player with excellent communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
Travel Requirements:
- Travel required as needed both locally, nationally, and at times internationally.
- Driver’s license required
Requirements
Requirements: University graduate or equivalent experience with further studies in AV installation, data or voice communications, or drafting. Minimum of 4 years' experience in an electrical and/or communications environment. Understanding of project management practices and customer service obligations. Knowledge of electrical, electronic, communications, and computer products and equipment. Proficiency in oral and written English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Familiarity with building construction and blueprint reading. Experience with the AV Commercial Integrator Navigate system, specifically for change orders and delay notices feedback to the Project Manager. CTS-I Certification Preferred
