Job Description:The MRB stress engineer evaluates areas of non-conformance regarding defects arising during the manufacturing process and as compared to the product definition requirements as defined by the part print. Their role is to evaluate and provide a course of action regarding the ultimate disposition of the part. For example, it may be used “as-is” with no corrective action, reworked to a condition that is acceptable for use, repaired, or scrapped.Roles & Responsibilities:Responsible for non-conformance assessment and providing dispositionAnalyze variations to part print specifications which effect part form, fit, and function. This analysis will include performing tolerance stacks, stress, metallurgical, aerodynamic, dynamic, NDT, and heat transfer analysisResponsible for representing the stress team in the CFT analysis and dispositionResponsible for all Hand calculations (Classical Method) for all stress calculations for aero engine componentsShould be creating stress justification reports and related stress hand calculations in consultation with customer SPCs and signatoriesAnalyze non-conformances and rework proposals for aero engine components, specifically blisks and disksShould perform detailed analysis by hand calculations and analysis

Key Technical / Professional CompetenciesPrior Material Review experience will be preferred.Stress Engineer with Good FEA skills, Hand calculation skills & Composite stress Analysis skillsGood Exposure to Stress MethodologiesExperience in Metallic - Linear & Non-Linear Static, Fatigue analysisHands-on experience in FEA & Stress tools – ANSYS Classic, ANSYS APDL & ANSYS Work Bench or any other stress tool packageEffect of thermal loads on structures component.Understanding of various composite and metallic defects and impact on strength of components.Must to have hands-on experience on aero engine components, specifically blisks and disks
