Senior SDE -Devops/SREBANGALORE /ENGINEERING /FULLTIME/ HYBRIDEsper is the industry’s first DevOps SaaS platform designed to provide a simple, safe, and secure way for engineering and DevOps teams to release applications and manage smart Android devices. Our device infrastructure enables developer, mid-market orgs, and enterprise fleets of 100,000+ devices to deliver their software as a service. has rapidly-growing global customer adoption among some of the world’s most innovative major brands in retail, hospitality, logistics, and healthcare.About the RoleIn this role you will contribute to a critical and highly-visible function within the Esper business. You will be given the opportunity to autonomously deliver the technical direction of the service, and the feature roadmap. You will work with extraordinary talent to deliver end to end features, improve platform quality and be a technical leader. Your contributions directly and immediately improve the experience of our customersYou get to work on cutting edge technologiesYou’ll solve scalability problems that come with managing millions of devices remotelyEach project you take up will increase the scope of your impact on the platformWhat you’ll doImprove Esper Platform by planning, recommending and executing strategic projects.Use metrics and data to provide insights on customer usage, bottlenecks, future requirements, security and scalability of the platform.Create standards, guidelines, sample projects, demos to influence engineering teams to write stable, secure, maintainable and quality code. Work with distributed teams to drive changes, write RCAs and coordinate resolution for production incidents. Objectively assess new technologies, tools, frameworks and design patterns for adoption into Esper Platform. Become the Subject Matter Expert(SME) for the DevOps team.What we’re looking for5-10 years of overall experience.Hands on experience in building and managing cloud systems on one or more cloud providers - AWS, GCP, or AzureHands on knowledge of scripting or any modern programming languages.Experience in developing and deploying on UNIX/Linux based systems.Hands-on experience in performance optimization using multiple metrics.Hands-on experience in micro-services and container technologies.Understanding of best security practices for implementing IAC, automation and CI/CD workflows.Hands-on experience with managing highly scalable web systems and troubleshooting issues.About the RoleExperience with AWS, Python, Terraform, Kubernetes.Experience in defining and driving metrics for successful product releases.Contributions on one or more open source projects.Understanding of service level metrics like SLO’s, SLI’s and SLA’s and mechanisms to track and improve them.What we think makes us specialEsper is a company where everyone matters and you can see your impact daily.
