Roles and Responsibilities Job description IP Building To interact with engineering teams to identify potential IP To create IP awareness across various verticals of the organization To manage R&R to employees. To conduct fortnight brainstorming sessions with engineering teams to identify potential invention disclosures. To engage with leadership levels for invention fostering. IP Strategies To work with various new product development teams and work create IP filing strategy timely and building portfolio of IP. To work with senior leadership team on IP budget and seek necessary approvals. To work with various law firms on foreign filing cost and strategize cost effective filing strategy. IP Portfolio Management To work closely with Engineering teams and maintain IP portfolio accordingly. To understand the marketing strategy and maintain Patents & Designs across various countries. To get necessary approvals for IP portfolio Management IP Budget To forecast IP yearly budget and get necessary approvals To maintain yearly expenditure of various IP costs incurred and support finance team and other teams in audit process. To get necessary approvals for expense incurred and to pass the IP bills accordingly. IP Documentation To work with legal team and get necessary documentation for IP filing and maintenance. To work with various engineering teams and get assignments deeds done. To work with Engineering projects and get necessary IP clauses included into the contractual agreement. Enforcing IP contractual clauses when working with 3rd party for Product development. Maintaining all legal documents. Search & Analytics To evaluate Various Patent Searches (Novelty/Patentability/Invalidity/Infringement/FTO/Landscape) To work closely with various search firms and evaluate quality and timely delivery of search reports. Drafting & Prosecution To work with various law firms on Draft Patent applications Reviewing drafted patent applications Draft Office action response Reviewing drafted office action response To review draft guidelines with various law firms on timely manner. IP Recogniziations To work with communications team and send out monthly IP newsletters highlighting the inventors. To share IP stats across various departments on the monthly progress of various engineering teams. To work with CEO office on concluding yearly IP awards ceremony. Docketing & Billing Support & Audit support To maintain & docket all IP activities fortnight basis To manage & clear bills of outside counsels timely. To support various R&D audits on IP matters.
