Role Summary:


Your role as Head of Connectivity Platform entails spearheading the implementation of an IoT Connectivity Platform for delivering Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, Telematics data capture, Remote Diagnostics and Prognostics, Remote Configuration, and other strategic business functionalities. As a key member of the team, you will actively contribute to the conceptualization and development of software-based solutions, referred to as "Digital Products," capitalizing on the capabilities offered by the connectivity platform. This position holds responsibility for crafting comprehensive end-to-end solutions, employing top-notch design and implementation methodologies, integrating diverse technological components, and collaborating with both internal and external software development teams and stakeholders to achieve targeted features and performance.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Lead the architectural strategy and design of the Connectivity Platform, ensuring compliance with functional, maturity, and security standards through comprehensive verification/validation.
  • Lead data architecture, management, and usage aspects related to Connectivity features and outputs.
  • Work across embedded, cloud, data, and end-use application spaces.
  • Analyze stakeholder needs to develop requirements and specifications, spanning from the conceptual phase to series production.
  • Lead the strategy and implementation of cybersecurity for the Connectivity Platform, encompassing technology, policies, processes, provisioning, and validation, adhering to industry standards.
  • Function as a technical leader within the overall development team, providing guidance on implementation and moderating the resolution of technical issues.
  • Collaborate with technology partners to seamlessly integrate end-to-end connectivity features in a secure, robust, and high-performance manner.
  • Coach engineers in the team on the technical domain and implementation approach.
  • Contribute to product ideation and solution design and engineering for digital solutions leveraging the Connectivity Platform to create new opportunities for internal and external value.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders, internal and external, to deploy the Connectivity Platform and digital solutions.
  • Root-cause and solve issues, actively contributing to continuous refinement.
  • Build technical subject matter expertise in relevant topics and lead technical reviews.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience and/or certification in SCRUM and/or SAFe.
  • Understanding of challenges and constraints within the automotive products domain and processes.
  • Software development skills (e.g., SQL, C++, Python, Java) and proficiency in modern software development practices.
  • Experience working with GIT and/or Jenkins.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, automotive engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Automotive/Mobility connectivity system development, with expertise in architecture, design, and implementation within the Telematics Connectivity realm.
  • Communication and leadership experience, with a proven track record of initiating and driving projects.
  • Robust knowledge of digital solution building blocks, encompassing big data, cloud computing, embedded system development, and network and communications systems, including familiarity with prominent IoT protocols and design patterns.
