Key Responsibilities
1. Perform structural design and analysis of:

  • Wood structures (beams, joists, trusses, shear walls, diaphragms) per NDS (National Design Specification for Wood Construction).
  • Container structures structural modifications, openings, reinforcements per ISO/IBC.
  • Steel structures member sizing, connection design per AISC.

  • RCC structures – slabs, beams, columns, footings per ACI/Eurocode.

  • Use Enercalc for component-level design (foundations, retaining walls, beams, columns, shear walls).

  • Carry out gravity, wind, seismic, and snow load calculations per ASCE 7 and project requirements.
  • Prepare design reports, structural calculations, and code compliance documentation.
  • Develop connection details (steel/wood) and reinforcement detailing.
  • Coordinate designs with architectural and MEP teams for constructability and efficiency.
  • Use Revit (Structural) for BIM modeling, rebar detailing, schedule extraction, and drawing production.
  • Review shop drawings, resolve RFIs, and incorporate client/consultant markups.
  • Ensure compliance with US and UK codes and project specifications.

Preferred candidate profile

  1. Bachelor's/Master's in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  2. 4–7 years' experience in structural design of US/UK projects.

  3. Strong working knowledge of:

  4. Enercalc (for quick component design).

  5. STAAD.Pro, ETABS, or RISA (for frame/system-level analysis).
  6. NDS (National Design Specification) – timber design.
  7. ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, IBC (US codes).

  8. Eurocode/BS (UK codes).

  9. Proficiency in Revit Structural, AutoCAD, and Navisworks for BIM documentation.

  10. Experience in designing lateral force-resisting systems (shear walls, bracing, moment frames).
  11. Strong ability to prepare engineering deliverables (reports, drawings, BOQs).

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Familiarity with connection design software (IDEA StatiCa, Tekla Tedds, Simpson Strong-Tie tools).
  • Experience in container-based structures per ISO standards.
  • Exposure to Dynamo automation in Revit for design/drawing workflows.
