The skills required, and the job duties are given below 1Requirement Gathering Process Mapping Engage with business stakeholders to capture requirements map them to ISA95 processes and design functional specifications for MES modules production execution quality inventory and maintenance in discrete manufacturing environments automotive aerospace electronics etc. 2Solution Design Fit Gap Analysis Conduct workshops perform fit gap analysis between standard MES functionalities and plant specific needs and configure functional aspects of MES systems e.g., scheduling sequencing genealogy traceability Andon 3Integration Testing Support Collaborate with ERP e.g., SAP SCADA and PLC teams for end-to-end integration support system testing UAT and validation to ensure seamless information flow across the manufacturing ITOT landscape 4Deployment Change Management Drive MES rollouts across plants prepare training documentation conduct end user training and provide functional support during hyper care ensuring adoption and alignment with business KPIs 5Lead design configuration and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations 6Architect and implement real time data acquisition visualization and reporting solutions 7Ensure seamless integration of OT systems PLC SCADA MES with enterprise IT systems ERP databases cloud 8Develop and maintain secure efficient data exchange using REST APIs MQTT and OPC UA protocols 9Manage industrial databases SQL historian timeseries databases for high availability and performance 10Collaborate with cross disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs 11Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 40 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics 12Troubleshoot optimize and support existing SCADAMES deployments to ensure minimal downtime 13Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team 14 Ten plus years of experience in SCADAMES engineering within the manufacturing industry 15 Mandatory Proven expertise with Ignition SCADA Inductive Automation including scripting module configuration and project deployment 16Strong background in MES functions production tracking OEE downtime analysis traceability SPC etc. 17Proficiency with database technologies SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL or equivalent 18Handson experience with OTIT integration technologies o REST APIs for system interconnectivity o MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication o OPC UA for industrial interoperability 19Strong knowledge of industrial control systems PLC SCADA HMIs and plant floor connectivity 20Familiarity with manufacturing standards ISA95 ISA88 ISA99IEC 62443 21Excellent problem solving communication and cross functional collaboration skills 22Experience with cloud based IIoT platforms Azure IoT AWS IoT etc. 23Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments 24Familiarity with containerization Docker Kubernetes for SCADAMES deployments 25Experience in working on largescale digital transformation Industry 40 projects 26Certifications Ignition Gold Certified Specialist OPC UA or relevant industrial ITOT certifications 27Opportunity to lead transformative manufacturing technology projects
