Job Overview

We are hiring an experienced SAP FI Consultant with working knowledge of SAP CO (Controlling) for a remote AMS support role. The consultant will primarily support SAP FI modules such as GL, AP, AR, AA, and will also provide secondary support for CO objects such as cost centers, internal orders, and allocations.

The role is designed for individuals who can troubleshoot, support, and enhance SAP FI systems in a production support environment. Prior experience in a remote AMS setting and an understanding of inter-module integration is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide functional support for SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting).
  • Resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, and deliver bug fixes and minor enhancements.
  • Support month-end/year-end closing, payment runs, and reconciliations.
  • Assist in CO-related support: cost center planning, actual postings, internal orders, assessments/distributions.
  • Maintain FI configuration settings including tax codes, field status groups, account determination, and automatic postings.
  • Coordinate testing and validation for transport movements, upgrades, and support packs.
  • Collaborate with CO, MM, and SD teams for cross-module support and integration.
  • Provide functional documentation and user guidance.
  • Participate in client meetings or change advisory boards (if required).

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in SAP FI.
  • Working knowledge of SAP CO, especially in Cost Center Accounting and Internal Orders.

  • Strong functional expertise in:

  • G/L accounting and reporting

  • AP, AR transactions

  • Asset accounting (depreciation, asset transfers)

  • Understanding of integration with CO, MM, and SD modules.

  • Ability to analyze logs, dumps, and errors independently.
  • Experience working in a remote support model with service level targets.
  • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA is a strong plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP Certification in FI or CO modules.
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Prior experience in AMS or production support environments.
  • Basic knowledge of ABAP debugging is a plus.
