Role: Tech Team Lead

Job Summary:


As the Tech Team Lead (TTL), you will be the inaugural member of the Inviqa offshore team in India. Holding a position of technical authority, you will act as the primary bridge between the UK and European engineering teams and the offshore team in India. Your responsibilities include managing and growing an engineering delivery team from the ground up, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software development. By the end of 2024, our goal is to have between 4-6 team members in India. As a hands-on TTL, you will contribute code daily, assist in project estimation, recommend the right skills for a complete delivery team, and serve as the foremost authority on technical decisions for every project. Collaboration with the UK and European engineering, client success, and project management teams is integral to successfully delivering major projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Proficient in communicating with international colleagues in spoken and written English, adept at reading the room's tone and body language to seamlessly integrate as a core team member.

• Comfortable and confident in making strong recommendations openly and directly, even if it involves disagreeing or questioning the thinking of others at or above your own seniority, all in the best interests of delivering optimal outcomes.

• Demonstrates professionalism and integrity, building trust with colleagues in the UK and Europe, and fair management and team growth in India through coaching and mentoring.

Technical Skills:

• Legacy tech stack and programming languages:

- Primarily PHP (mostly Symfony) and related platforms such as Drupal, Magento 1 & 2, Sylius, Wordpress. Hosting platforms suited to PHP, such as Platform.SH or WPEngine.


• Modern, composable tech stack and programming languages (Inviqa’s primary focus and growth area)

-ReactJS, Git, NextJS, NodeJS, Tailwind.

-Composable tech architectures based on microservices, APIs, cloud-native, and headless solutions (e.g., serverless Cloud functions, headless CMS, and commerce solutions).

-Modern integration platforms such as Patchworks.

-Cloud hosting experience with AWS and Azure.

-As a Tech Team Lead, your responsibilities will include:

-Advising on best practices and standards.

-Motivating and driving your team to succeed.

-Working closely with international colleagues to thoroughly understand project requirements and acting as a bridge between them and the offshore team.
