Roles & Responsibilities:

1.Material Planning & Inventory Management

  • Develop and execute centralized material planning strategies to ensure optimal stock levels of raw materials and packaging across all production sites.
  • Forecast material requirements based on production schedules, sales forecasts, and historical usage.
  • Maintain safety stock levels and buffer inventory to minimize stockouts and production disruptions.

2. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with Procurement, Production, Quality Assurance, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) teams to align material availability with business needs.
  • Act as the central point of contact for material planning and coordination across manufacturing plants and distribution centers.

3. Logistics and Supply Chain Optimization

  • Coordinate inbound logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials and packaging.
  • Optimize storage, handling, and internal logistics in alignment with material flow and production efficiency goals.

4. Systems & Reporting

  • Manage and continuously improve planning systems and tools (e.g.,ERP/MRP systems).
  • Generate regular reports and KPIs related to material availability,planning accuracy, inventory turnover, and supplier performance.

5. Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify supply risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes, material flow, and supplier collaboration

Preferred candidate profile

  • MBA in Operations Management from tiered institutes. Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Food Science, or a related field. 8 to 10 years of experience in supply chain, materials management, or production planning, preferably in the food manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Proven experience in inventory optimization, material flow planning, and logistics coordination.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
