Designation : Deputy General Manager - Business Development

About the Company: A leading architectural design firm.

Location : Andheri (east), Mumbai, India.

Department : Business Development

Years of Experience Needed: 12-16 years of relevant experience in areas mentioned below in the JD.

Compensation on Offer: INR 20 to 35 LPA based on relevant experience, interview performance, and last drawn compensation (pls note, industry standard hikes would apply on current ctc).


Position Overview:

We are looking for an ideal candidate who is a seasoned business development professional with 12-16 years of experience in BD for real estate anchored / architectural design or interior design firms, specifically within the real estate industry. This role requires significant expertise in service marketing and a strong network in the Indian real estate sector . The candidate should be able to drive business development initiatives, build long-term client relationships, and play a vital role in the growth of the business bottom line & profitable growth as they grow along with the company.


1. Business Development & Client Relationship Management:

  • Lead new business development initiatives and revenue maximization strategies by developing the architecture design firm's business through strong networks in the real estate industry & other potential areas for business too such but not limited to Real Estate Developers and Builders, Corporate Clients, Government Agencies, Retail Chains, Hospitality Sector, Healthcare & Educational institutes, Engineering Firms, Property Management Companies, etc
  • Strong networking abilities with Indian developers and senior management of real estate firms.
  • Experience in service marketing, particularly for Architectural design services, is preferred but also open to folks with experience across the construction industry.
  • Penetrate new markets, promote the firm in emerging cities and growth areas.
  • Build and sustain long-term client relationships.


2. Client Retention and Expansion:

  • Leverage existing client relationships to expand into new asset classes.
  • Ensure high levels of client retention through relationship building and satisfaction.


3. Documentation & Coordination:

  • Handle client correspondence to finalize agreements.
  • Coordinate with the legal department for agreements and project heads for invoicing.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and client billing requirements.


4. Cross-functional Interaction:

  • Regularly update Directors on project meetings, billing, and client matters.
  • Work closely with Finance and Legal teams on business plans and document reviews.


Qualifications:

  • Education : B.Arch + MBA (preferred) / graduation / PG in any real estate / civil construction backgrounds preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience : 12-16 years in Sales/Business Development in the architectural / construction or real estate industry, with at least 4 years in service marketing.
  • Skills : Fluency in MS Office, CRM software, digital marketing initiatives preferred too, etc. Strong networking skills within the real estate / construction sector.
  • Personal Traits : Ability to work under strict deadlines, team player, strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and a high level of integrity and reliability.

  • Expertise in developing marketing materials, presentations, and proposals.

  • Ability to negotiate and manage contracts effectively.


Project Management:

  • Skills in project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Proficiency in tools like MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit, and project management software.

  • Ability to understand financial statements and balance sheets.
  • Skills in forecasting, budgeting, and profit analysis.


CRM Software Expertise:
