Funded by Premji Invest- Azim Premji’s Investment arm and NewQuest , iD Fresh manufactures 55,000 kg of idly/dosa batter every day and delivers it to over 30,000 retail outlets. The company’s product range has grown to include a wide range of fresh ready-to-cook foods including ‘Squeeze and Fry’ Vada Batter, South Indian Filter Coffee decoction, Ragi Idly/Dosa batter, Natural Paneer and Malabar Parota among others. The company has also launched an organic product line and will soon be converting its entire operations to organic.


About the Operational Model

As our product is different from others, so is our business model. All our fresh products are made for the day they are shipped to retail stores. We have zero finished goods inventory, and hence no intermediary stockists or transitory warehouses. This is possible only with the help of an inhouse fleet of vehicles and distribution personnel. Currently a fleet of 500 dedicated vehicles and crew touch 25,000 retailers daily and replenish 100,000+ Kgs units of the freshest produce.


Overview

As a Learning and Development (L&D) Manager, you will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of training and development programs to enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of our employees. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to identify learning needs, develop innovative learning solutions, and drive a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization. This role reports to CHRO directly.


Key Responsibilities

  • Training Needs Analysis: Conduct thorough needs assessments in collaboration with departmental leaders to identify learning gaps and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Program Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs and initiatives aligned with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  • Instructional Design: Apply instructional design principles to create engaging and interactive learning experiences, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, workshops, and multimedia resources.
  • Facilitation and Delivery: Facilitate training sessions and workshops, leveraging a variety of instructional techniques to accommodate diverse learning styles and preferences.
  • Performance Evaluation: Establish metrics and evaluation mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of training programs, measure learning outcomes, and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
  • Leadership Development: Design and deliver leadership development programs to cultivate the skills and capabilities of managers and emerging leaders across the organization.
  • Talent Development Initiatives: Partner with HR and talent management teams to support career development initiatives, succession planning efforts, and talent retention strategies.
  • Change Management Support: Provide learning and development support during organizational change initiatives, helping employees adapt to new processes, systems, and roles.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Training: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies by developing and delivering training programs on topics such as safety, diversity, inclusion, and ethics.
  • Budget Management: Manage the learning and development budget effectively, allocating resources to maximize the impact of training initiatives while maintaining cost efficiency.


Key Requirements

  • Education: Any Graduate, MBA is preferable
  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in learning and development, training, or a related field, with demonstrated expertise in instructional design and program management.
  • Significant previous experience of leading a Learning and Development and Talent Management Function
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning technology trends.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools, and other learning technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with training evaluation and assessment methods.
