Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare comprehensive country profiles that assess political, economic, and banking sectors, along with conducting thorough financial and credit analysis of major financial institutionsDraft detailed credit proposals to assess the creditworthiness of financial institutions / companies, recommending appropriate exposure limits and strategiesThink critically and analytically to identify key insights from data, market conditions, and trends, and weave these insights into well-structured, cohesive reportsEnsure that all reports are well-written, clear, and provide a compelling narrative for the clientStay updated on market trends, political developments, and economic shifts in the regions relevant to your workMeet project timelines and quality of deliverables in a manner to ensure “high client satisfaction”Conducting quality control check of the outgoing reportsEngage client independently on calls and e-mailsDemonstrate strength and experience in client / requester relationship building and management, information / knowledge needs assessmentShould be able to work independently with minimal guidance and need to be equally good in multi-taskingKey Competencies3-6 years of relevant experience in investment banking, credit risk analysis, or financial institutions researchStrong understanding of the banking sector, credit analysis, and financial performance metricsAbility to assess financial institutions, analyze business models, and evaluate financial performance using key ratiosStrong report writing skills with a demonstrated ability to create clear, concise, and insightful documentsExcellent quantitative / analytical skills with the ability to think critically and read between the lines to derive insightsAbility to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectivelyStrong communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders both internally and externallyProficiency in financial modelling, valuation methodologies, pitchbooks and other investment banking products would be an added advantageWell versed with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and Power PointExcellent working knowledge of databases such as Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, Thomson, FactSet, etc.Previous client handling exposure is a mustSelf-motivated and able to motivate othersEffective negotiation skillsAbility to work in high-pressure situationsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to make quick and informed decisionsA degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.Post-Graduation in Finance or equiv. qualification (CFA, MBA (finance), CA or equiv.)
