Responsibilities:

Responsible for the administration, maintenance, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting of assigned servers, IT services and systems infrastructure including but not limited to: cloud infrastructure, IaaS, SaaS and PaaS, traditional on-premises server hardware, HCI hardware/software, storage and backup systems, Microsoft-based operating systems, ADDS & related services, Azure & M365 products, endpoint management (servers), disaster recovery and data replication, IT security products and practices. Perform regular server optimization and maintenance activities including patching, upgrading, configuration and performance tuning. Perform routine monitoring by analyzing event logs and responding to alerts. Regularly verify the integrity and availability of systems and scheduled jobs including backups and automated processes. Regular participation in both small and large IT projects, including acting as technical lead/SME for assigned systems and solutions. Analysis, troubleshooting and resolution of systems infrastructure, hardware, software, and networking issues up to and including operating systems. Provide reliable tier 3 escalation technical support and troubleshooting to junior staff and peers. Participate in requirements gathering, planning and deployment of new systems and supporting infrastructure. Participate in DR testing exercises and business continuity planning for business-critical systems. Submit change requests including implementation, communication, testing and back out plans following standard ITIL methodologies. Create and maintain system documentation and knowledge base for assigned systems. Identify opportunities and propose solutions for continuous improvement. Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and ability to work non-standard hours for critical system upgrades and/or outages. Communicate effectively both verbally and written with all stakeholders. Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Minimum Qualifications (Key Responsibilities):

Minimum 8 years of experience in a medium to large organization as a system administrator or similar technical role. Proven work experience and deep knowledge of many of the following technologies in a medium to large enterprise environment: virtualization such as Vmware Esxi, Ovirt, Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory & services, Azure, AWS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Microsoft PKI, M365, Intune, Sharepoint, Teams, One-Drive. Disaster recovery planning experience. Powershell scripting and automation. Infrastructure monitoring and data protection policy design.

Desired Qualifications

Active industry standard certifications in Microsoft technologies, cloud technologies, ITL, or similar. Over 6 years’ experience in a similar role with proven success as a technical and project leader of a major enterprise transformation project. Disaster recovery design of on-premises and cloud services.
