The Technical Project Manager – Manages system implementations serves as a strategic and operational manager within our internal IT organization, responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of complex enterprise system implementations and upgrades. This role focuses primarily on Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem solutions integrations, Power Platform integrations, and other core systems that directly support our organization's operations and growth. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, project management insight, and business process understanding to ensure successful delivery of critical core systems. The Technical Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams including IT infrastructure, business stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency, data visibility, and user experience across the organization. WHAT YOU GET TO DO Lead end-to-end implementation projects for core systems. This includes CRM, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS, Engagement Professional Services Systems, Payroll Platforms and Timecard systems. Ensuring that the core systems are seamlessly integrated into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, CRM, and Project Operations modules. Develop comprehensive project charters, scope definitions, and success criteria aligned with organizational strategic objectives Establish project governance frameworks, including steering committees, regular status reporting, and escalation procedures Manage multiple project portfolios and timelines spanning 3-18 months Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure project deliverables align with business transformation initiatives WHAT YOU BRING: Ability to conduct detailed business process analysis and requirements sessions with department stakeholders Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and system configuration documents Extensive knowledge with system integration architectures connecting Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and core system automation tools Experience managing vendors on system configuration, customization, and integration development activities Ability to ensure all implementations meet security, compliance, and architectural standards established by IT governance Experience working with vendors to establish post-implementation support structures and continuous improvement processes Ability to monitor system utilization metrics and implement dashboards and strategies to optimize user engagement and leadership visibility Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the implementation lifecycle Experience ensuring compliance with organizational policies, industry regulations, and security frameworks Experience partnering with IT department to implement disaster recovery and business continuity procedures for implemented systems Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related technical field Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management certification Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform strongly preferred Minimum 5 years of technical project management experience with enterprise software implementations 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance, CRM, and/or Project Operations) Experience working in internal IT organizations supporting business operations Microsoft Dynamics 365: Advanced knowledge of Finance, CRM, and Project Operations modules including configuration, customization, and integration capabilities Power Platform: Knowledgeable in Power BI report development, Power Apps canvas and model-driven applications, and Power Automate workflow design Professional Services Automation: Experience with PSA system implementations, configuration, and integration with financial and CRM systems Data Management: Understanding of data migration methodologies, ETL processes, and data quality management Integration Technologies: Knowledge of APIs, web services, Azure Logic Apps, and middleware platforms Project Management Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Azure Dev Ops, or similar project management and collaboration platforms Other Qualifications: HRIS system implementation and integration experience (Workday, ADP, Bamboo HR, or similar platforms) Experience with professional services automation systems (Katana, Big Time, D365 Project Operations, or similar platforms) Experience with Payroll systems implementation (Ramp, Airdrop, Brex or similar platforms) Experience with Timecard system implementation (Projectworks, D365 Project Operations, or other similar platforms) Experience with Applicant Tracking System implementation (Bullhorn, Greenhouse, i CIMS Talent Cloud, Smart Recruiters, Job Diva or other similar platform) Microsoft services (Azure cloud services, Office 365 administration, SQL Server database management and reporting service, Power Shell scripting and automation development) Experience with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to focus quickly on the key issues Leadership experience with ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, changing environments Ability to work independently as well as in a team Stakeholder management expertise with proven ability to build consensus among diverse groups MORE ABOUT WIMMER SOLUTIONS Wimmer Solutions is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
