Job Description

Data Privacy Technologist plays a crucial role in ensuring Siemens Healthineers meets the highest standards of Data Privacy Compliance, adhering to EU GDPR regulations and global Data Privacy efforts.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Define and monitor de-identification and anonymization procedures for Personal data collected within Siemens Healthineers Business Units.
  • Identify direct and indirect identifiers, assess re-identification risks, and provide guidance for mitigation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure data privacy regulations are met while retaining data usefulness.
  • Differentiate between personal and anonymized data, applying data avoidance and minimization principles.
  • Review technology introduction impacts on reidentification and suggest appropriate measures.
  • Interact with Data Privacy compliance organization and represent R&D teams as needed.
Required Experience & Skillset:
  • Consistent track record in software R&D with 6+ years of experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Data Privacy roles with knowledge of GDPR and other data protection regulations.
  • Thorough understanding of Personal and Anonymized data differences and ability to apply data avoidance and minimization principles.
  • Expertise in personal data processing and anonymization techniques.
  • Experience in minimizing and de-identifying healthcare data and familiarity with DICOM and HL7 standards.
  • Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPT, CIPM(GDPR), or DCPP are a plus.
Leadership & Soft Skills:
  • Able to demonstrate decisiveness and sound judgment.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to make statements and build consensus.
  • Remarkable collaboration skills influencing decision-making processes concerning Data Privacy.
  • Excellent presentation skills facilitating groups operating at different levels.
  • Able to work in international teams with inter-cultural sensitivity.
Qualification:

University degree in statistics, computer science, data science, or mathematics. Domain/Product Experience: Healthcare IT knowhow in MedTech landscape Diagnostic Imaging and Workflows involving movement of Patient data across systems.
