Interior Designer – AutoCAD/CAD Specialist

About The Opportunity
We are hiring an on-site Interior Designer (AutoCAD Specialist) to join project teams delivering high-quality interiors across multiple Indian locations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented CAD expert who can translate design intent into accurate construction drawings, manage site coordination, and ensure seamless handover from design to delivery.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings: floor plans, elevations, sections, joinery & MEP co-ordination drawings according to project CAD standards.
  • Develop detailed shop drawings and material-finish schedules for FF&E, joinery, millwork and interior fittings for site execution.
  • Translate design sketches and concept documents into construction-ready documentation and bill-of-quantities (BOQ).
  • Support site teams with technical clarifications, regular site visits, issue resolution and as-built updates to drawings.
  • Coordinate with architects, structural/MEP consultants, vendors and fabricators to ensure drawings are buildable and compliant.
  • Maintain drawing version control, adhere to CAD layering/naming conventions and ensure timely delivery of documentation to stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have

  • 3+ years hands-on experience in interior design/CAD drafting with strong command of AutoCAD (2D).
  • Proven experience preparing shop drawings, elevations, sections and BOQs for interior fit-outs.
  • Practical understanding of site execution processes, joinery detailing and material specifications.
  • Strong communication skills for client, vendor and site coordination; ability to interpret architectural/MEP drawings.
  • Organised, deadline-driven with proficiency in MS Office and drawing-management workflows.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Revit, SketchUp or 3ds Max and Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator for presentation and visualization.
  • Experience with retail/hospitality/residential turnkey interior projects and knowledge of Indian building/construction norms.
