Job Description: As a brake Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the development
and design of brake systems for 2 wheelers.
Tasks to Perform:
1. Must be having good knowledge of design of brakes ( front and rear). Good hands-
on brake calculation
2. Should be able to decide the specification of brakes based on vehicle layout, weight
distribution, stopping distance, trail angles , caster angle, wheel travel etc
3. Collaborating closely with suppliers and internal manufacturing teams to create
detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications for brakes and all child
components. Ensure seamless integration and manufacturability of these
components within the overall vehicle package
4. Continuously evaluate and improve brake designs based on data-driven insights,
track performance observations, and feedback from the wider team. Seek
incremental advancements to enhance overall brake performance, vehicle handling,
stability, and response. Analysis the response of brakes by self driving the vehicle to
understand the improvement areas
5. Support testing programs to validate the performance, durability, and safety of
brake systems. Utilize test facilities and equipment to gather data, analyze results,
and refine designs for continuous improvement.
6. Prepare comprehensive design documentation, technical reports, and presentations
to effectively communicate design concepts, analysis results, and testing findings
and root cause analysis to internal stakeholders and management.
Required Skills:
1. BE Mechanical with 5 to 10 years of experience in brakes design and development.
Preferably in 2 wheelers or automotive industry .
2. Possess strong knowledge of systems, kinematics, dynamics, materials, and
manufacturing processes.
3. Display excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work
effectively within a multidisciplinary team and across different departments and
embrace the team-oriented culture.
4. Showcase strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of thinking creatively
and proposing innovative solutions to overcome design challenges.
