Purpose of the Role

The incumbent as a part of Fixture Engineering will enable & collaborate to carry out projects using a gated approach, establish timeframes for all NPI operations, and manage technical projects in collaboration with the CFT, PMO, and SPOC for Fixture Engineering. In this role, the incumbent will manage project constraints (time, cost, and scope) and oversee fixture manufacturing (PR/PO), supplier and customer interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a detailed project schedule for NPI by breaking down work with functional leads, identify customer inputs, estimate and manage uncertainty by analysing cost and time variances, and develop risk / response plans.
  • Revalidate estimates, define project quality assurance activities, communicate with stakeholders, and maintain ISO/Audit documentation.
  • Ensure project documentation end-to-end during the entire lifecycle of the project. Well versed with ISO/AS standards. Participate in all audits and represent the group.
  • Coordinate with functional leads, partners, sub-contractors, and suppliers to deliver activities. Respond to uncertainties and risks, track costs. Manage stakeholder expectations and review status and adhere to CPMO timelines.
  • Conduct stage gate reviews with CFT teams during various stages of Fixture design & development. Ensure all criterias of phase exit are being meet.
  • Trend extrapolation, conflict resolution and risk tracking through project and quality review participation, variance judgment, stakeholder communication, auditing, and CPMO timeline adherence.
  • Frequent vendor interactions, develop working relationship with vendors and establish smooth flow of information.
  • Ensure product quality assurance is implemented to verify and collaborate with functional leaders to provide support in different formats. Emphasise reflective meetings and adherence to specified requirements.

Qualification

Graduate in Mechanical Engineering, PMP Certified and valid with 10 to 15 years of experience.

Location : Hosur, Kelamangalam

Additional Requirements

  • Experience in Managing special purpose machines/ NPI projects
  • Good understanding of all manufacturing processes(Machining, Injection moulding, Anodizing etc)
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty, navigate through uncertainties by taking calculated risks
  • Ability to deal with fast changing environments, one the requirements of EMS Industry.
