Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced HBIM Welder to join our fabrication team in the Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) manufacturing unit. The HBIM Welder will be responsible for Heavy Beam and Industrial Metal (HBIM) welding, focusing on welding structural steel components such as columns, rafters, bracings, and other key parts of PEB systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of welding processes, safety standards, and quality requirements specific to the steel building industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG, MAG, FCAW, or SMAW welding on heavy structural steel components used in PEB fabrication.
• Weld parts such as columns, rafters, mezzanine beams, eave struts, and other load-bearing members as per drawing specifications.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications).
• Ensure high-quality welds by maintaining correct heat, arc, and travel speed.
• Conduct visual inspections and assist in NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) if required.
• Follow safety practices and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations and comply with company 5S standards.
• Work in coordination with fitters, machine operators, and QC inspectors to meet production goals.
• Record welding activities, defects, and rework in the production logs.
• Adhere to company health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• ITI / Diploma in Welding or a related technical trade.
• Minimum 2–5 years of welding experience in the PEB or structural steel industry.
• Ability to weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Familiarity with welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS D1.1 or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of HBIM welding techniques for heavy steel sections.
• Ability to interpret welding symbols and fabrication blueprints.
• Physically fit and able to handle heavy materials and work in high-temperature conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Welder (e.g., AWS, ASME, or equivalent).
• Previous experience working in a PEB manufacturing facility.
• Knowledge of welding defect identification and correction.
• Ability to operate welding positioners, rotators, and overhead cranes (if applicable).
