Job Role : Senior Officer - Life and Medical Underwriting

Salary : Exciting Salary Tax Free. ( will DM to relevant and interested candidates )


KRA's :


  • Generate quotes for clients directly or through brokers.
  • Adhere to company rating structure, underwriting guidelines, and procedures.
  • Manage group medical renewals and maintain the company's retention ratio.
  • Address all inquiries related to group medical policies promptly.
  • Participate in and submit tenders for group medical and life requests for quotation (RFQ).
  • Evaluate and assess medical risk factors to determine appropriate coverage and premiums.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and brokers to provide underwriting support and expertise.
  • Analyze group medical data and trends to make informed underwriting decisions.
  • Review and interpret medical reports, claims history, and other relevant information.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency in underwriting processes.
  • Presenting clients with the awareness session, on boarding new clients
  • Policy Issuance and related operations


Skills:


  • Ability to analyze complex medical information, assess risks, and make sound underwriting decisions.
  • Capability to address and resolve complex underwriting challenges effectively
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing regulations, industry trends, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Hands-on experience in navigating regulatory requirements and ensuring underwriting practices comply with standards.
  • Understanding of medical terminology, conditions, treatments, and procedures to assess health risks accurately.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to interpret medical data and trends.
  • Understanding of claims processing and investigation to facilitate underwriting decisions


Qualifications for Senior Officer, Medical Underwriter:

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Medicine, Nursing, or a related discipline is required.

• A Master's degree or professional certification in a related field would be considered an advantage.

Experience Required for Senior Officer, Medical Underwriter:

• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in medical underwriting or a related field.

• Some experience in a supervisory or leadership role would be preferred.
