About the Role:-


We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Senior Data Analyst with strong proficiency in complex SQL , Power BI & Python ( Unix also preferred) to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for transforming warehoused datasets into meaningful business insights, developing interactive dashboards, and enabling data-driven decision-making. This fully remote role provides an opportunity to work on impactful projects with cross-functional teams to support strategic business objectives. If you have a passion for data storytelling, analytical problem-solving, and process automation, this is the perfect role for you


Key Responsibilities:-


  • SQL Query Development : Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries , stored procedures, and functions to support data analysis, data science and reporting.
  • Data Analysis & Insights : Extract, cleanse, and analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Dashboard Development : Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI , enabling stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
  • Customer Analytics : Support customer segmentation, lookalike modeling, and campaign personalization by analyzing customer behavior and trends.
  • Data Automation with Python : Leverage Python scripts to automate ETL processes, data cleansing, and repetitive reporting tasks.


Other Responsibilities:-


  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Work with marketing, product, and operations teams to gather reporting requirements and deliver timely insights.
  • Data Quality & Consistency : Ensure data accuracy and consistency by standardizing inputs, managing duplicates, and improving data integrity.
  • Unix Scripting & Command Line Operations : Utilize Unix commands and shell scripts to handle data transfers, schedule jobs, and automate workflows.
  • Automation & Process Improvement : Automate data validation and reporting workflows to reduce manual efforts and improve efficiency.
  • Data Governance & Compliance : Ensure adherence to data governance, privacy, and security best practices.


Key Skills & Competencies:-


  • SQL Expertise : Advanced SQL skills for writing complex queries, CTEs, subqueries, and optimizing large datasets .
  • Data Visualization : Proficiency in Power BI , with experience in DAX, Power Query, and building dynamic, user-friendly dashboards.
  • Python Programming : Knowledge of Python for data analysis , automation, and ETL workflows.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills to identify trends and provide business insights.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Strong communication skills to present data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Unix Scripting & Commands : Proficiency with Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting to handle file transfers, schedule jobs, and automate processes.
  • Data Quality & Standardization : Ability to ensure data integrity, clean data inputs, and maintain consistency across data sources.
  • ETL & Data Integration : Experience with ETL processes and working with multiple data sources.


Required Qualifications:-


  • Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Experience : 3-6 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role.
  • Technical Skills :
  • SQL (advanced) — proficiency in creating, optimizing, and debugging complex queries, views, and stored procedures.
  • Power BI — strong experience in building, optimizing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and visualizations.
  • Data Tools — familiarity with Excel (advanced), or other data analytics tools .
  • Python — hands-on experience in using Python for data manipulation, automation, and ETL workflows.
  • Unix (Optional) — strong knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and experience in shell scripting for automation and job scheduling.
  • ETL & Data Management (Optional) — experience in ETL workflows, data transformation, and working with large datasets.


Preferred Qualifications:-


  • Industry Experience : Experience working with large customer datasets, customer segmentation, or marketing analytics.
  • Domain Expertise in B2C Retail
