Job Description:

Lead Litigation Job Summary Spearhead the companys legal matters related to all litigation cases, whether as a complainant or defendant. Initiate and conduct legal investigations/research, brief solicitors, represent the company, and influence favorable verdicts/responses to safeguard the company's interests and mitigate potential liabilities arising from legal cases.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Review the company's litigation matters and advise management on available options.
• Investigate, research, and analyze legal matters; appoint appropriate Advocates/Solicitors based on their performance history.

• Attend court proceedings and liaise with Advocates/Solicitors for legal actions, handling Civil, Criminal, and Arbitration cases.
• Review and draft responses to legal notices in coordination with Advocates/Solicitors to ensure timely submission.
• Meet with involved parties or attorneys to negotiate and settle matters amicably to save time and revenue.
• Ensure withdrawal of cases/suits and that complainants are provided with agreed solutions, with proper documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments (Design, Project, Liaisoning, Commercial, Operations, CH/AM/AVP, etc.) for legal inputs and draft relevant legal documents.
• Draft and file complaints/notices/lawsuits on behalf of the company and represent management in appeals/hearings.
• Review and advise on legal amendments, notifications, rules, and judgments, providing detailed analysis to protect company interests.
• Maintain a legal database/MIS and brief management on any lapses; recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Effectively manage Legal Managers/Juniors and coordinate with technical/architect teams for proper representation.
• Negotiate with Solicitor firms for favorable commercials and terms of appointment; ensure cost control and manage departmental budgets effectively. Educational Level Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law / Solicitor qualification. Work Experience 15 – 20 years of relevant experience in litigation, preferably in real estate, land, and property law.

Lead – Non Litigation (North Region) Job Purpose

• Conduct property due diligence and handle end-to-end documentation required for acquisition of properties.

• Apply structured problem-solving skills to create value for the organization.

• Carry out due diligence of lands and structuring of acquisitions.

• Lead initiatives to implement best-in-class systems and processes to enhance team performance.

• Lead, direct, and guide a team of executives to ensure 100% on-time and quality support across multiple divisions.

• Vetting of documents such as Agreement for Sale, Leave & License Agreement, Lease Agreement, Development Agreements, Deed of Conveyance, Tenancy Agreement, Deed of Gift, documents related to Mortgage/Hypothecation/Pledge, Power of Attorney, Affidavits, and other legal documentation.

• Coordinate and interact with law firms, advocates, solicitors, business development teams, and developers. Educational Qualification LLB Work Experience Minimum of 15–21 years of practice in a Real Estate or Retail company, handling property law matters including revenue-related proceedings and title searches. Special Requirements

• Excellent commercial drafting skills – MUST.

• Sound knowledge of property laws, especially in North India.

• Well-versed with court procedures, negotiations with developers, and lawyers.

• Thorough understanding of revenue records and their interpretation. Key Competencies
