Job Title: Water Structure Design Engineer – Water Supply ProjectsExperience Required: 7+ YearsJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Structure Design Engineer with over 7 years of expertise in water supply projects. The role involves the design and development of water-related structures such as reservoirs, intake structures, pumping stations, treatment plants, and distribution systems. The candidate will be responsible for delivering efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective design solutions in alignment with project requirements, codes, and client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign of water supply structures including intake wells, storage reservoirs, treatment plants, pumping stations, distribution networks, and related infrastructure.Prepare detailed engineering drawings, design calculations, hydraulic modeling, and technical specifications.Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and design reviews for water supply projects.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineers) for integrated project delivery.Ensure compliance with relevant design codes, standards, and local regulations.Review and approve shop drawings, vendor designs, and material submittals.Support project execution by providing technical guidance during construction and resolving design-related issues.Prepare design reports, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, and tender documents.Utilize design and modeling software such as Water GEMS, EPANET, Auto CAD, STAAD, and Civil 3 D.Ensure sustainability, safety, and quality in design solutions.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).7+ years of proven experience in water supply and water structure design.Strong knowledge of hydraulic and structural design principles for water infrastructure.Proficiency in design software (Water GEMS, EPANET, STAAD, Civil 3 D, Auto CAD, etc.).Familiarity with international and local design codes (IS, AWWA, BS, or equivalent).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.Strong communication and coordination abilities.Preferred ExperienceExperience with large-scale municipal water supply projects.Exposure to design of sewerage and stormwater structures will be an added advantage.Previous involvement in EPC/PMC/Consultancy assignments.
