Role & responsibilities

Teradata Admin/ Teradata DBA: (4-6 Years)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Experience 4-6 years in Teradata Database Developer and Admin.
  • Design and Develop solutions based on specifications receive.
  • Work and collaboration with project teams to meet project expectations.
  • Propose Technical solutions and adapt to the business needs.
  • Implement best practices, coding and development culture.
  • Good exposure in Teradata Development activities.
  • Should have decent experience in develop Teradata SQL code based on requirement.
  • Experience in Teradata like BTEQ, Fast load , TPT , Macros and Procedures
  • Should have experience in Data Modelling.
  • Perform query tuning and workload management (TASM) using Teradata Viewpoint
  • Administrator and Optimize Teradata database for High availability and performance.
  • Manage Database security user access control and auditing.
  • Automate tasks using Unix shell script or Python
  • Migrate On-Prem Teradata workload to cloud base environment like Snowflake.
  • Implement space allocation, indexing, partitioning strategies to improve efficiency.

Must Have Technical Expertise

  • Teradata Vantage or higher, Teradata Utilities (BTEQ and TPT) , Procedures , Macros and SQL.
  • Teradata Workload Management and Data Modelling
  • Performance tuning, Indexing and Partition Strategies
  • Teradata User Access , Space management and admin activities
  • Unix Shell scripting and Python
  • Snowflake Knowledge

Good To Have

  • Knowledge in Snowflake / Certification
  • CI/CD Pipeline
  • Certifications in Teradata and cloud (Azure or AWS)
  • ETL tools like DataStage
  • BI tools like MicroStrategy
