On-site Application Chemist

Reports to: Regional Manager –West 1 A

Location: Mumbai

Years of Work Experience: 6-8 years in Pharma/Testing Lab/Food Testing Lab and Hand-on experience on TQMS

Experience in handling Shimadzu TQMS is preferred

Experience in Method development process

Should be versed with AMD (Analytical Method Development) activity – Method Development & Validation protocols; PT (Proficiency Testing) requirements; Existing Regulations in Pharma / Food / EU Norms / Codex Test Methods

Should have handled and worked on method development activities of different types of samples / drugs / food matrices

Minimum Qualifications: B.Sc. or equivalent Graduation in Organic Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry

Preferred Qualifications: M.Sc. Or Equivalent Postgraduate in Organic/ Analytical Chemistry or higher


Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing post sale customer on-site application support on GCMS-MS.

Day-to-day visit to customer site OR

Stationed at one customer for a period of 6 to 12 months (Any Place in India).

Supporting customer method development / method optimization assistance pertaining to their sample matrices

Helping customer with method validation support

Trouble shooting of customers application issues.

Demonstrating to customers advanced software capabilities and method packages with sample matrices

Coordinate with Principals local application lab for any support required to address any unresolved customers application requests.

Conducting application training to customers chemists for effective use and utilization of the system and software

Preparing effective application support reports detailing activities carried out and result achieved.

Preparing and making PowerPoint presentations as and when required to customer on application support activity carried out and result achieved.


B. Key Success Behaviors (Key Competencies): Experience in handling chromatography sampling techniques like Headspace Samplers, Thermal Desorption, Pyrolizer, etc. would be an added advantage.

Should have experience in analytical method development, method optimization, method validation using these techniques.

Should have knowledge of application workflows as per industry segment worked.

Knowledge of global regulations in the field and having experience would be an added advantage.

Should be well conversant with various sample preparation techniques like extraction, digestion, purification, clean up etc.

Should have effective English spoken and written communication skills.

Should be willing to travel extensively locally as well as outstation for customer support activity.
