Assistant Manager – SEO – Healthcare Websites

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a highly skilled SEO Executive with proven expertise in technical SEO and optimization for generative AI search engines (such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google SGE). You will be responsible for managing the SEO strategy and execution for three websites:

Max Healthcare – maxhealthcare.com

BLK-Max – blkmaxhospital.com

Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital – nanavatimaxhospital.org

This role requires not just ranking improvements, but also direct contribution to lead generation and revenue, through close coordination with the contact center and marketing teams. You will occasionally work on-site at hospital units to liaise with doctors, gather content inputs, and ensure SEO strategies align with patient needs.

Core Responsibilities

1. SEO Strategy & Implementation

Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve search visibility across Google Search, Bing, and AI-driven search engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, etc.).

Conduct regular keyword research, with a focus on healthcare-specific and high-intent patient queries.

Optimize websites for Search Generative Experience (SGE) and AI answer engines, ensuring inclusion in AI-sourced responses.

Maintain a competitive SEO advantage in the hospital sector.

Conduct in-depth technical audits and implement fixes (crawlability, indexation, schema

Implement advanced schema (Medical Web Page, FAQ Page, How To) to enhance AI search inclusion.

3. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Track daily/weekly rankings for key target keywords and monitor AI-generated search visibility.

Monitor traffic, CTR, conversions, and revenue impact via Google Analytics, GSC, and call tracking tools.

Provide actionable insights to the SEO Manager for decision-making.

4. Content Optimization

Collaborate with doctors, content writers, and marketing teams to create medically accurate, SEO-optimized content.

Identify AI search trends and integrate into content strategy.

Ensure all medical content follows E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) guidelines.

5. Revenue & Lead Coordination

Work closely with the Contact Center to track SEO-generated leads and conversions.

Optimize landing pages for higher conversion rates.

Support call-to-action strategies to drive appointment bookings and inquiries.

6. Cross-functional Collaboratio n

Coordinate with hospital units and doctors to gather inputs for content and website updates.

Conduct occasional on-site visits for photography, video content, and direct interviews for content creation.

SEO Performance

• Organic Traffic Growth: % increase in monthly organic sessions across 3 sites.
• Keyword Rankings: % increase in Top 3 and Top 10 positions for targeted keywords.
• AI Search Visibility: % increase in appearance within AI-generated responses (ChatGPT, Perplexity, SGE snapshots).

Revenue & Conversion

• Leads from Organic Search: Number and % growth in patient inquiries from SEO channels.
• Revenue Contribution: Monthly revenue generated from SEO-driven leads.
• Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Improvement in website conversion rate for key service pages.

Technical Health

• Technical Audit Score: Maintain 90%+ health score (SEMRush / Ahrefs).
• Core Web Vitals Compliance: Pass rate for mobile and desktop.
• Schema Implementation Rate: 100% coverage for high-priority medical pages.

Collaboration & Execution

• Timely delivery of SEO tasks as per monthly roadmap.
• Number of successful cross-team initiatives completed (e.g., doctor interviews meetings, content collaborations).

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate

Experience

5+ years of hands-on SEO experience (healthcare experience preferred).

Technical Skills

• Worked on websites with minimum 15 lakhs traffic per month
• Proven track record in generative AI search optimization.
• Strong technical SEO skills (GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
• Understanding of schema markup and structured data for medical content.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MSWord
