E&E- EV Cell Test Engineer

A purpose driven role for you

The EV component test engineer would be responsible for the following activities –

1. Defining testing and characterization requirements for EV cells

2. Cell modelling and simulation

3. Testing of cells and battery packs as per defined testing requirements on cell / battery cyclers, perform degradation and abuse tests

4. Support Failure analysis along with Design Team and final report preparation

5. Managing test labs and test equipment’s

A Day in the life

Create testing requirements / DVPV plans to validate the EV cells 

Perform testing on Cells and compile the test results as per observations

Create test plans as per the SOP timelines

Plan and execute the tests as per the DVPV plans 

Write scripts for executing tests on the test instruments i.e. cell and battery cyclers 

Designing special fixtures for performing abuse tests on EV cells and packs 

Compile the results to create benchmark report for various Cell Chemistry

Test data / Failure Analysis and test report preparation

Manage the test lab and test instruments

Academic Qualification & Experience

B. E / B. Tech in ECE / ICE / E&E / Mechatronics with 2 to 4 years of experience in testing and validating EV cells and battery packs, managing test labs, creating DVPV plans and failure analysis

Technical Skills/Knowledge

Hands on in operating cell and battery cyclers Capability to use CAN tools i.e. CANoe,

CANalyzer, CANape etc.

Hands on in managing test labs and operating test instruments

Proficiency of working in MS office i.e. Excel, word, project etc.

Strong communication, interpersonal, intercultural skills

Knowledge of various cell chemistries

Team player with a winning attitude

Knowledge of EV cells and battery packs test standards

Eager to take up new challenges, learn and grow

Innovative thinking and capability to leverage technologies

Behavioural Skills
