Role & responsibilities

The post holder will: -

1. The Quality Engineers works with Architects, Solution Designers, Developers, Product Owners, Project Managers and others to help ensure high quality and timely delivery on multiple implementations of changes in product centric delivery model.

2. The Quality Engineers plans and executes manual/automated/Non-Functional testing throughout the development cycle and against multiple and varying technologies and application under tests, throughout the project, and communicates frequently with team members regarding quality status, and helps to resolve test impacts and issues to ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction.

3. Quality Engineers are responsible to implementing quality assessments throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure high standards in product-centric delivery. This involves evaluating and verifying the quality at each phase, from initial planning and design to development, testing, and deployment. Their goal is to maintain and enhance the product's quality, ensuring it meets both functional and non-functional requirements.

4. Deliver Testing as per Test Strategy and Test Plans in accordance with standard (s), dependent on development lifecycle (i.e. SDLC, ADLC, IDLC)

5. Develop test specifications, produce test estimates and track spend against plan
6. Develop test cases, test scripts, and test traceability matrices ensuring sufficient coverage against business requirements / user stories -
7. -Develop Automated test pack with high efficiency and quality by following Standards, contribute to develop more advance Automation Standards and Framework
8. Develop test programmes that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, negative testing or usability -
9. Develop, document and maintain test cases and other test artefacts like the test data, data validation, and ensure regression test packs are always maintained and up to date
10. Execute and evaluate manual & Automation (functional, integration, end to end, regression) test cases and report test results.
11. Identify and find / create test data to support Manual/Automated test processes
12. Evaluate potential risks in the development process and propose mitigation strategies
13. Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality is integrated into every phase of development
14. Follow change management and defect reporting processes - Produce testing documentation including results to assess quality
15. Utilise test tools e.g. TFS / VSO/Azure DevOps for defect management, test planning, etc - Assist Business Analysts, Developers, Scrum Masters in ensuring defined requirements / user stories are verifiable and risks are identified
16. Review and give input to business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, test strategies, test cases, test results, release notes
17. Ensure appropriate test management practices are followed - Participate and/or feedback into Post Implementation Reviews as appropriate
18. Share knowledge of application, projects and processes within QA function - To develop effective working relationships with users and colleagues at all levels across IT, including 3 party resources - To keep colleagues, leaders, managers regularly informed of the status of specific resolution activities.
19. To provide Line Managers with status of work in progress and workload and raise any issue as appropriate.
20. To establish, develop and maintain credibility and working relationships with on and offshore users - To proactively participate in all functional/departmental meetings giving feedback to ensure continual improvement and undertaking initiatives as directed. -
21. To raise ideas for possible improvements within the QA function and to help carry these ideas forward across Quality Engineering Community
22. To keep up to date on the organisation and businesses, the healthcare marketplace and IT industry opportunities to provide the optimum systems solutions. -
23. Develop and implement non-functional testing as per requirements in accordance with standards

Preferred candidate profile

Technical Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required

• A background in software analysis or software development or IS project from relevant business area is necessary.
• ISTQB Software Testing Foundation or Intermediate Certification - Total years of experience should be 1-5 years
• Hands-on experience of working on POSTMAN tool
• Experience working with REST API - Experience in Playwright with Type Script/JavaScript - Experience in Low Code No Code tools set - Good understanding of Cloud technology (Google and Azure), Microsoft CRM, Window and UNIX server, Web & App platforms.
• Person must have an excellent problem-solving approach, be a self-starter, good communicator, good collaboration skills and team player, business oriented and must have skills in producing documentation -
• Understanding of Non-Functional testing like Performance testing, Accessibility Testing, Visual Testing -
• The ability to demonstrate:
