About the Role:

We are looking for a Clinical Data SME with ~5 years of experience to join the team in Bangalore,India. This is an amazing opportunity to work in a category defining start-up company. As a Clinical Data SME at Elucidata you'll have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects involving real world data, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (comprising engineers, domain specialists, product managers, etc), work on developing or improving existing data standards.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of RWD strategies and solutions to collect, analyse, and utilize real-world patient data effectively.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of conceptual, logical, and physical data models that ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze and assess the structure, content, and format of clinical notes within the EHR system to identify inconsistencies, variations, and opportunities for standardization.
  • Standardization Framework Development: Work closely with Data engineering teams to develop and implement standardized templates, guidelines, and protocols for documenting clinical notes in alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Terminology Mapping: Conduct comprehensive terminology mapping and normalization to ensure consistency and interoperability of clinical concepts and terminology across different EHR platforms.
  • Data Mapping and Integration: Collaborate with data engineering and curation teams to map clinical note data elements to standard terminologies and coding systems (e.g., SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10) for seamless integration and exchange of health information.
  • Quality Assurance: Help in defining quality checks to validate the accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standardization guidelines of clinical notes data.
  • Documentation and Training: Develop comprehensive documentation, training materials, and resources to educate healthcare professionals on standardized documentation practices and promote adoption of standardized clinical note templates.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH) governing the documentation and sharing of electronic health information.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging trends, advancements, and standards in EHR documentation and clinical informatics to continuously improve standardization processes and methodologies.

Qualifications :

  • BE with atleast 4 years of experience, MBBS with atleast 5 years of experience in working with real world data, omics, etc
  • Experience working with cross-functional and distributed teams in a global and diverse environment
  • Proficient with Python and SQL
  • Proficient with data standards like OMOP, GA4CH with demonstrable experience in modifying such standards for various use cases
  • Proficient with downstream analysis workflows.
