We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated,

PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT

who is an industry leader in the Life Sciences line of business and will: -Provides Process Architecture expertise to the Wood Life Science Line of BusinessProvides Process Architecture technical support to the Wood Architectural and Engineering teamsProvides planning, programming, feasibility and concept design expertise to our clients

Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) with a minimum 15 years’ experienceIndustry Type – Life sciencesExperience in working with engineering consultancies and EPC companies for design & engineering is desirable.Should have good exposure in pharma industry guidelines such ISPE, USFDA, WHO, cGMPWorking knowledge of the following software packages (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Microsoft office & Sketchup)Expertise in the following industries is an added advantage.Bio-Pharmaceutical -Upstream and downstream processAPI -Synthetic and Bio FermentationFormulation -Oral solid /suspensionFill Finish /Vaccine facility.Sterile/non-sterile facilityClean Utility

Job DescriptionMinimum of 15 years’ experience in concept, basic and detail design and project coordination of Architect works on Pharmaceutical, Infrastructure, and industrial Projects.Should have good experience in site master plan layoutsShould have hands on experience in developing various pharma facility layouts for API, Formulation, Fill Finish, Vaccines & Warehouses (Raw & FG)Should have experience handling of Global projects and fair knowledge in US ,EuropeanShould be familiar with clean room concepts like men and material flows & aseptic.Should be familiar with cGMP and other Pharmaceutical Design guidelines.Exceptional knowledge in the design of pharmaceutical and bio-tech manufacturing in line with FDA guidelines and laboratory facilities is preferred.Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign.Expert understanding of building materials and systems, methods of construction and the integration of building services, structure, building core and envelope elementsMay assist in maintaining and developing department master specificationsKnowledge of building codes, design regulations and standards like NBC, NFA, IS, IBC other local Factory / industrial guidelines.Attention to detail and excellent in drawing works.Coordination with various stake holders like Client / various internal disciplines like projects / Piping / mechanical / civil / vendors for effective engineering managementExperience in managing a team of designers working on an area scope. Planning, Monitoring, and checking the quality of the work done by designers.Guiding a team of designers in 2D / 3D Architecture, review of 3D model and review of layouts / MTOs extracted from the model.Should be able to do cost estimation of Architecture Package.Procurement activity for Architecture items covering preparation of enquiry specification, review of quotes and preparation of TR, preparation of order specifications.Keep up to date with the latest technological advancements.Continue professional development by attendance to in and out of company technical training.Strong presentation skills and communication skills to work closely with a collaborative team and all stakeholders during all the stages of the project.Candidates must have a creative bent of mind and problem identifying and solving abilities.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Adaptability to handle changing priorities and evolving project requirements.
