Role Overview

The Accounts Receivable Executive will be responsible for managing customer invoicing, collections, reconciliation of accounts, and ensuring timely receipt of payments. The role requires strong attention to detail, coordination with internal teams and external clients, and adherence to company policies and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and issue customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with clients for payments as per agreed credit terms.
  • Record and allocate customer receipts against invoices in the accounting system.
  • Prepare Accounts Receivable (AR) aging reports and share periodic updates with management.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Legal teams to resolve billing or payment disputes.
  • Maintain proper documentation of invoices, debit/credit notes, and receipts for audit purposes.
  • Assist in month-end closing by reconciling AR ledgers with the General Ledger.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and statutory requirements.
  • Support external and internal audit requirements related to AR.
  • Continuously improve AR processes for better accuracy and efficiency.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AR processes.
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems / accounting software (SAP, Tally, Oracle, or similar).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, reconciliation tools).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for client follow-ups.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
