Job Title: QA Lead - Python/Selenium & API Testing

Location: Bangalore

Experience Range: 8 - 11 Years

Job Overview:  We are seeking an experienced QA Lead with a strong background in Python, Selenium, API, and Batch testing to head our Quality Assurance team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 11 years of experience and possess in-depth knowledge of testing frameworks, with a proven track record of leading QA teams in delivering high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of test strategies for both manual and automated tests with a strong focus on Python and Selenium. Design, implement, and maintain robust testing frameworks to support API and Batch testing. Guide and mentor the QA team in creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Oversee the creation and execution of automated scripts to ensure product quality and reliability. Collaborate with development teams to integrate API tests into the continuous integration and deployment pipeline. Perform hands-on testing and review complex test scenarios and outcomes. Drive the adoption of best practices in code quality, testing, and maintenance within the team. Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and track software defects to resolution. Stay abreast of the latest industry trends in QA automation and recommend tools and processes to enhance testing efficiency. Manage and report on test activities, including test results, test case coverage, and required resources.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in Python programming and using Selenium WebDriver for automated testing. Strong experience in API testing and creating automated tests for batch processes. Proficient in building and maintaining test automation frameworks. In-depth understanding of various testing methodologies and tools. Experience with software development practices and tools, including Git, JIRA, and Jenkins. Knowledge of SQL and relational databases to support complex test scenarios. Familiarity with performance and security testing is advantageous.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 8 years of QA experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong analytical skills and experience with implementing automated testing solutions. Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in QA methodology, Python programming, or related fields. Previous experience leading a QA team in a fast-paced software development environment. Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans for QA process improvement.

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and drive QA initiatives.
