The Job

As a Community Manager at AniLive, your role will involve building and expanding a vibrant community of V-streamers and viewers through various channels, including the app itself, social media, and in-person events. You will lead community-building programs from scratch and set both quantitative and qualitative goals to engage and grow the AniLive community. You will be responsible for developing strong partnerships with streamers and stakeholders while fostering an inclusive and engaging environment.


You will be responsible for:

  • Developing a scalable education system for streamers to enhance their streaming skills.
  • Creating a user engagement journal to maintain ongoing interaction with the community.
  • Establishing and enforcing community guidelines to ensure a safe and fun environment.
  • Designing internal customer support guidelines, screening processes, and escalation protocols.
  • Managing official social media accounts such as Twitter and Discord, and actively engaging with users.
  • Leading focus groups to gather user insights and understand their needs.
  • Managing a team to support community-building efforts.


The Profile

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in community management for communication services or online games.
  • You have at least 1 year of experience managing a team of 3 or more members.
  • You have a deep understanding of streaming culture and love for the AniLive app and its community.
  • You possess business-level English proficiency.
  • You have strong project management experience and a proven ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have experience using Discord, Notion, GSuite, Microsoft Office, Slack, and Zoom.
  • You are passionate about the Japanese entertainment industry, such as anime, manga, gaming, and VTubing — you must be an otaku
