Application Modernization Presales Architect
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Application Modernization Presales Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern application architectures, cloud computing, and legacy system transformation. As a presales architect, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by designing innovative solutions that address our clients' needs and helping secure new business through technical excellence and strategic vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement:
Engage with clients to understand their business challenges, technical requirements, and long-term goals.
Conduct assessments of existing applications and infrastructure to identify opportunities for modernization.
Solution Design:
Develop comprehensive modernization solutions that include cloud migration, re-architecting, and refactoring of legacy applications.
Design scalable, secure, and resilient application architectures that leverage the latest technologies and best practices.
Collaborate with internal teams to create customized solutions that align with client needs and industry standards.
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and internal stakeholders throughout the sales cycle.
Lead the development of proof-of-concepts (POCs), demonstrations, and presentations to showcase the value of proposed solutions.
Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in application modernization and cloud computing.
Proposal Development:
Create detailed technical proposals, including architecture diagrams, solution descriptions, and implementation
plans and low level estimations. Work closely with sales teams to develop compelling value propositions and
cost-benefit analyses for prospective clients.
Assist in preparing and delivering RFP/RFI responses and other sales collateral.
Collaboration and Communication:
Partner with sales, product management, and delivery teams to ensure alignment of solutions with business objectives.
Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in application development, architecture, and modernization.
Proven track record in a presales or solution architect role, with a focus on application modernization and cloud migration.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native technologies.
Expertise in modern application architectures, including microservices, containers, and serverless computing.
Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code).
Familiarity with legacy systems, mainframes, and various modernization techniques (rehosting, replatforming, refactoring).
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
